Here’s some stuff you might not know about the members of Wendy Darling. Enjoy some interesting facts and some secrets…Shhhh.

Jon…

1.   Can’t drive manual cars.

2.   Is uncircumcised.

3.   Also speaks Spanish and wishes he could speak all the languages of the world, at least French and Portuguese.

4.   Recently changed majors from music to environmental studies.

5.   Has managed to accumulate about $800 worth of San Francisco parking tickets in the past 6 months…Sigh.

6.   Is actually Mexican and Jewish, despite his misleading fro.

7.   Has no filter when he talks.

8.   IS his nickname…but he’s workin’ on that.

9.   Once lit his fro on fire at Cori’s old apartment. Buzz kill.

10. Inadvertently live by the motto, “Love ‘em and free ‘em.”

Hecky…

1.   First met Jon in elementary school in Rosarito, Mexico.

2.   Also collaborates with a punk-ska band called Los Kung-Fu Monkeys from Tijuana.

3.   Used to be a fan of Wendy Darling before being in the band, drunkenly singing lyrics at shows.

4.   Loves cats.

5.   Wishes to speak the German language fluently one day.

6.   Is actually a teddy bear come to life.

7.   Came up with an aerobics routine the whole band does after every show.

8.   Can speak and translate “Jon.”

9.   Will take you to the airport.

10. Can make Nate sing about chimneys on queue.

Nate…

1.   Started Wendy Darling when he posted a craigslist ad looking for a singer with “commanding stage presence” and the vocal abilities of “Ani Difranco, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Bjork and Jeff Buckley.”  Pretty ambitious.

2.   Has carpet that matches the drapes.

3.   Loves sushi.

4.   Was born in a house in Berkeley with the assistance of a midwife. His mom had all-natural home births with him and his two sisters. Hippie parents rule!

5.   Has an awesome mom, Annie, who is also featured in the band’s music video for “Persistence of Will.”

6.   Has a day job as a paralegal at a probate law firm in San Francisco.

7.   Has an older sister and a younger sister. His older sister, Mari, is an actress (http://www.thediaryofateenagegirl.com/), and his younger sister, Emily, is a comedian (http://emilyhellerstuff.com/). Something must have gone terribly wrong in their family when they were very young to make them all exhibitionists.

8.   Went to rock and roll band camp as a child.

9.   Is terrified of heights.

10. Have the worst tank top sun burn of his life right now. He still really likes tank tops despite the pain…He even wrote a song about them.

Cori…

1.      Is 6’0.”

2.      Loves Newcastle.

3.      Got her first CD from her cousin for Christmas. It was “The Bodyguard Soundtrack.” Then her dad bought her the Best of Simon and Garfunkel boxset. Dad ftw!

4.      Doesn’t have cable or internet.

5.      Has an older brother. He could beat up your brother.

6.      Has vivid dreams almost every night. It’s like a movie theater her head, and she have recurring nightmares about sharks. When she was little, she used to have nightmares about hurricanes. Then her mom told her we don’t get them in California. They stopped immediately. Mom ftw!

7.      Once held Listerine in her mouth for a minute on a dare. It’s a horrible idea.

8.      Learned how to shoot a gun when she was 6. She has never shot anything living.

9.      Used to “wave” her bangs in elementary school. She was not good at it.

10.  Wrote a song with Wendy Darling called “Your Song (2LCWR).” It’s about a very attractive man who lives far from her. She misses him constantly.
